The Bing Brothers featuring Jake Krack bring hard-driving West Virginia old-time music back to the Pocahontas County Opera House.

Few groups are more closely tied to the living old-time music tradition of West Virginia. The Bing Brothers have spent decades performing, teaching and sharing traditional music throughout the region, while fiddler Jake Krack has become one of the state’s best-known contemporary tradition bearers.

This is old-time music with muscle. The tunes are built to move, dance and drive forward with the rhythmic energy that has powered square dances, festivals and late-night jams for generations.

At the Opera House, the music has a special resonance. These sounds are connected directly to the musical traditions of Pocahontas County and the wider Appalachian region, carried forward by musicians who know the tradition from the inside.

Expect hard-driving fiddle tunes, crisp ensemble playing and a room full of momentum.

The Pocahontas County Opera House Performance Series is presented with support from Pocahontas County Dramas, Fairs and Festivals and the Pocahontas County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
