Singer-songwriter and guitarist Margaret Glaspy comes to the Pocahontas County Opera House with a sound that is direct, literate and edged with rock-and-roll electricity.

Glaspy has built a national reputation around sharp songwriting, expressive guitar work and performances that make lean arrangements feel emotionally full. Her 2026 album, “I Am Both,” brings those qualities into a folk-leaning indie-rock setting.

Her songs have a way of leaving the beams exposed. Voice, guitar, melody and language do the work, creating music that can feel intimate one moment and bracing the next.

That makes the Opera House a particularly fitting room. With little distance between performer and audience, Glaspy’s songs have space to land as they were built: close, human and attentive to the details.

For listeners drawn to thoughtful songwriting, guitar-driven indie rock and folk, this is one of the season’s most distinctive concerts.
