Opry Night returns to the Pocahontas County Opera House with an evening of old-time and bluegrass music featuring Mudhole Control and Myra Morrison & Friends.

Opry Night has become one of the Opera House’s favorite ways to celebrate music that lives close to home. This year’s program brings together musicians rooted in the fiddle tunes, songs and string-band traditions that have long shaped life in the mountains.

This is living-room music, porch music, dance music and community music, carried through families, festivals, jam circles and radio programs and passed from one player to the next.

Mudhole Control and Myra Morrison & Friends bring that spirit onto the Opera House stage, honoring tradition while keeping it firmly in the present.

For longtime fans of Appalachian music, Opry Night should feel like a homecoming. For newcomers, it offers a welcoming front door into the sound of the region.

Tickets are available online, at the door or at the 4th Ave Gallery (Pocahontas County Artisans Co-op).

The Pocahontas County Opera House Performance Series is presented with support from Pocahontas County Dramas, Fairs and Festivals and the Pocahontas County Convention and Visitors Bureau. This project is supported with financial assistance from the West Virginia Department of Tourism and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the West Virginia Commission on the Arts.
