The legendary Black Mountain Bluegrass Boys, West Virginia's most enduring bluegrass ensemble, are set to grace the stage of the Opera House once again on Saturday, August 30th, at 7 p.m. Under the skillful leadership of Mill Point native Richard Hefner, who has been at the helm for more than five decades, the band has earned a stellar reputation for their authentic bluegrass sound, impeccable vocal harmonies, and deep-rooted connection to the region's musical heritage. Accompanying Richard is his all-star band, The Black Mountain Bluegrass Boys, comprised of some of the most talented musicians in the genre.

These sessions provide a glimpse into Richard's early years and highlight some of his most cherished songs.
