What begins as a romantic honeymoon at a secluded mountain lodge quickly becomes a bewildering—and potentially deadly—mystery.
Daniel Corban, a Michigan advertising executive, contacts the local police after his new wife suddenly disappears. Before investigators can make sense of the situation, a young woman arrives at the lodge claiming to be the missing Elizabeth Corban. There is just one problem: Daniel insists he has never seen the woman before.
When a priest confirms the young woman’s identity and supports her account, Daniel’s story begins to unravel. Inspector Levine must sort through contradictory claims, shifting alliances and a growing collection of suspicious characters to determine whether a crime has actually occurred. As the evidence mounts, Daniel finds himself caught in an elaborate web of deception where no one—and nothing—is quite what it seems.
Filled with unexpected twists, dark comedy, mounting suspense and some serious bamboozlement, Robert Thomas’ Catch Me If You Can keeps audiences guessing until the final moments. The Pocahontas County Drama Workshop’s fall production is directed by Jeff Marcum, with rehearsals now underway.
Meet the Cast
Nathan Dameron leads the cast as Daniel Corban, a frantic newlywed struggling to maintain his sanity as accusations and conflicting stories close in around him.
Chris Curry portrays Inspector Levine, an overworked detective who must first determine whether a crime has occurred before he can begin to solve it.
Joe Miller plays Father Kelleher, a priest who attempts to keep the peace while becoming increasingly entangled in the mystery.
Veteran Drama Workshop performer Rachel Fanning takes on the role of Elizabeth Corban, a mysterious woman who stands to inherit a fortune—if she can remain one step ahead of an elaborate scheme.
Ashley Ritter makes her Drama Workshop debut as Mrs. Parker, an unpredictable character whose arrival adds another comic twist to the unfolding plot.
Fellow newcomer James Spanglet portrays Sidney, a sandwich deliveryman who quickly discovers that he has bitten off far more than he can chew.
