A missing bride, an unexpected stranger and a story that becomes more tangled with every new arrival set the stage for the Pocahontas County Drama Workshop’s production of Robert Thomas’ “Catch Me If You Can.”
Daniel Corban has brought his new wife to a secluded mountain lodge for their honeymoon when she suddenly disappears. He contacts police for help, but the mystery takes a bizarre turn when a young woman arrives claiming to be the missing Elizabeth Corban. Daniel insists he has never seen her before.
When a priest supports the woman’s story, Daniel suddenly finds himself under suspicion. Inspector Levine must sort through contradictory claims, shifting alliances and an increasingly strange collection of characters to determine whether a crime has actually occurred.
Directed by Jeff Marcum, the production features Nathan Dameron as Daniel Corban, Chris Curry as Inspector Levine, Joe Miller as Father Kelleher, Rachel Fanning as Elizabeth Corban, Ashley Ritter as Mrs. Parker and James Spanglet as Sidney.
Filled with suspense, dark comedy and plenty of deception, “Catch Me If You Can” keeps the audience guessing until the final moments.
