Skip Gorman on stageIt wasn’t long ago that the Opera House was just a dusty old building and the dream of a handful of determined people. The vision and enthusiasm of those people quickly spread, and with the help of the local community, the Opera House has since become a thriving center for live music, theatre and dance, as well as an affordable gathering place for special events.

We want you to be a part of the great things happening here at the Opera House. Ticket sales cover only a fraction of our annual operating expenses. But through rentals and generous donations, the our local business community has been a vital partner in keeping the doors of the Opera House open.

Your business sponsorship during the 2012-2013 season will help the Opera House to continue bringing great music and performances to Marlinton and Pocahontas County. It will also help us keep the doors open to the community with affordable prices for tickets and rentals. In addition to the benefits outlined below, you’ll be recognized a partner in keeping “the cultural heart of the community” alive for all to enjoy.

How you can help

For each show, we distribute posters to more than 25 establishments in Pocahontas and Greenbrier counties. Twice a year, we mail our newsletter to more than 600 households. And we advertise our events regularly in The Pocahontas Times and other local and regional media.
